Measured values of gas temperature and its fluctuations are reported for six different flow conditions of kerosene spray flames issuing into free surroundings. Beside assessing the feasability of measuring mean and fluctuating temperature in turbulent flames, the paper is concerned with investigating effects of the fuel injection pressure and secondary atomization on the structure of the flame. The measurements were obtained using thin thermocouple wires, and corrections for conduction, radiation and time-lag effects were included.
