Abstract
A supersensitive governor is defined in this paper as one that will move the gates of a hydraulic turbine in the corrective direction by reason of a change of speed of 0.02 per cent and will then move the gates back by reason of a change of the speed back to the former speed. The author outlines the elements essential to a supersensitive governor in order to accomplish this fine degree of regulation. The application of these principles to governor design is then outlined.
