Abstract

The paper presents some of the standardization measures which have been undertaken by the sandpaper industry, tracing their evolution and influence on the product. Typical factory-control methods used in the manufacture of coated abrasives are described, together with testing media for evaluating the cutting efficiency of the finished product.
