The traditional network architecture can only meet the growing requirements of the network applications to service quality, safety and management by adjusting and redeploying protocols, which causes network systems to become more complex and difficult to control. Namely, the cost of scalability of the traditional network architecture is magnified as the applications are increased so that the further growth of the network applications is restricted. How to build a scalable architecture with stability is the new trend of the research of next-generation network architecture. By breaking down the conventional network protocols into several “meta-services”, this article is trying to illustrate a scalable and customizable network architecture.
