Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is important remote sensor for high resolution earth observation, and sliding spotlight mode can obtain higher resolution images than traditional strip-map mode. This paper analyzed the features of ultra-high resolution sliding spotlight SAR data, then discussed the availability of Extent Chirp Scaling (ECS) algorithm based on Baseband Azimuth Scaling (BAS) for processing the data of that and suggested three improvements for ultra-high resolution sliding spotlight data processing. At last, processed an example based on the data of Spaceborne Radar Advance Simulator (SBRAS) to validate the availability of the improvements.
