In this study, fuzzy logic control of a smart base-isolation system with semi-active controlled MR damper is presented. The Fuzzy-Logic control is used to calculate the optimal command to the semi-active controlled MR damper. A large-scaled, one-story building structure equipped with this smart base-isolation system is tested on the shaking table in NCREE. Different earthquake excitation rerecords and various PGA levels are tested on the shake table. The test result shows that the application of fuzzy-logic control cans effective control the base-isolation system. Both the acceleration and displacement are well controlled; moreover, it is adaptive to various kinds and intensity of excitations.
