Prosthetists know that the height and design of the trim lines of a transradial prosthesis can affect the range of motion of the elbow and the forearm. However, the extent of trim line effects has not been documented. The purpose of this study, as part of a larger range of motion study, was to determine the differences between ranges of motion of elbow with and without the effects of the trim lines of the transradial myoelectric prosthesis.
