Hand and wrist injuries commonly occur and can be debilitating. Scapholunate dissociation generally requires surgery, and if left untreated, can lead to scapholunate advanced collapse (SLAC wrist) and associated osteoarthritis . The overall goal of this research is to make a positive impact on the assessment and treatment of wrist injuries and on prevention of osteoarthritis as a result of injury.
