Abstract
Deregulation of electric power, introduction of independent power producers and increase competition have introduce new challengers to the utility industry. The ability to project short term demands and be able to respond to highly varying loads with high power quality are essential elements of a reliable and secure power system. This paper presents a new approach to the automatic generation control that combines advanced in neural networks, control theory, and electric power systems.
