Abstract
Feedback thermal control in ultrafast heating processes is studied in this work. The emphasis is placed on the desirable rate of heating that avoids the thermal instability developed during the short-time transient. Physical parameters characterizing the thermal instability and effects of thermalization and relaxation on the desirable heating rate are identified in the ultrafast process of heat transport.
