General formulation of modular forming of adaptive film lubrication bearings as tribologic systems of the lowest range is presented. Mathematical modular elements characterizing condition of tension of the bearing layer of lubricant as a structural bearing element are given. According to them configuration of structure of the bearing surface as well as the type of regulated bearing elements is defined. Jointing of mathematical modules is effected through the dynamic tension of the bearing layer of lubricant on the basis of solution of modified equation of Reynolds. The general idea of modular (segmental) bearing with sensors and computer control may be rejected or collaborated in every definite case according to the presented functional scheme.
