An experimental program was developed to study the condensation of steam with noncondensable in a vertical tube for forced flow and complete condensation modes of operation. Test data have been obtained for condensation of air-steam mixture for different mixture flow rate at different system pressure. The design of the test section is based on the passive condenser system in an advanced boiling water reactor. A boundary layer based condensation model was developed for the annular flow regime with inner gas phase and tube wall liquid film. In order to validate the condensation model the model predictions were compared with the pure steam data.
